Where do we stay?
Our base for this trip is shared accommodation in an incredible timber farmhouse from the 1800s, located just outside of the town of Sunne.
What will the food be like?
We love to serve our guests incredible food that they simply wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else. Our tours are kept small so that we don’t have to compromise on anything, and can give our guests access to the kind of things that usually only local hunters, fisherman and farmers have access to. Depending on the season this could mean capercaillie or wild boar from the forest, burbot or whitefish from the lakes, berries and wild mushrooms or unique Scandinavian vegetables which we grow ourselves. We love to serve both traditional and historical dishes from the region as well as recipes from the wider world.
Secret Sweden is a shared experience. All of our trips are led by us and our 8-10 guests travel, eat and participate in activities together with us during the trip. We arrange everything but encourage our guests to get involved with preparation and cooking of meals if they so wish. Our promise is that you will leave extremely well fed with the best food Sweden has to offer!
Can you accomodate food allergies/ dietary requests?
We are very happy to accommodate dietary requirements wherever possible. We also welcome vegan and vegetarian guests and can create custom options based around produce from our own gardens. Please enquire about allergies and dietary requirements before booking.
